Well I'm waiting for the other half to come on. It was very interesting and it was about a lot of things we chat about on here low carb. I think they have this one right, hope the second Half is as good.
Looking foreword to everyone's views.

What a difference to last weeks Channel 4 programme !!

I am watching the 2nd part after watching the 1st half and it is very interesting.

All looking good so far. Will report back later.

dang, didn't know this was on now, watching it now thanks

Well, the first part was fine, but the second part has gone off the rails. The GP showed all the fat that one of the female participants was eating and said it was that that had caused her diabetes! Wot! Such ignorance from a health professional. The dietary expert then prepared some really healthy and nice vegetables and baked them a pastry shell; stupid. So, the usual focus on fats and salt and ignoring the carbs. I give up...

wow, what a great thing the doc said about not blaming people for getting sick, halleluya (if that's how you spell it)

agreed

most medical folks think like this though, would have been a shock of they had got food and carbs completely right

ewwww, yes i can have the biscuit......ummmm

ok , apart from simplifying things and the usual lack of carbohydrate knowledge, i thought it was pretty good with moments of greatness

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with this programme and thought it was very informative.
Thumbs up from me.

To be fair interesting though it was, I learned nothing new.

As diabetics who like to be informed (hence why most of us are on here), it's not likely that we'll learn anything new about our condition from TV programmes. However, the point of the programme was to educate the general public as to the risk factors involved with the conditions they covered; and I think they did a fantastic job of that.

Must have spooked some people which is probably all for the good. Surprised that Edwina was the only healthy celebrity.

What did they have to say about jelly?

Probably as a result of her 'exercising' with John Major!

I still feel that, as nice as blokes like Phil Tufnell seem to be, it's all a bit too jovial 'It's A Knockout ish minus Staurt Hall' and needs a darker side with more impact.

I was amazed when the lady from 'Benidorm' said she was surprised that what was going on inside her was quite different to what she looked like on the outside!!
