Long term diabetic says hello!

Hello!

My name is Abi, i'm 26 and have been diabetic for nearly seven years. I have type 2 DM and I manage my diabetes with glucophage 500mg once a day.

I am a staff nurse in a hospital and I find the challenge of working a 12 hour shift and keeping my BSL at a reasnable level quite hard. I hope in the future to become a Diabetes specialist nurse.

I stumbled upon this website by accident, though its nice to be able to talk to fellow diabetics! :D

There is a wealth of information and experience on here and usually someone around to answer questions. 8)
