I have been Type 1 for 46 years on daily injections. I think it is wonderful for new diabetics to be given so much help and advice, plus acknowledging depression is
a problem with diabetes. When I started I wasn't even shown how to inject or how to sort which foods contained carbohydrates. As I have been at it for so long and know a substantial amount about my disease, it is still assumed by "specialists" I know what to do. Extremely frustrating when I need help or indeed Know more than them. I have never ever been overweight but have little or no interest in food. I find the forum interesting.
