T2 diabetes diagnosed about 10 years ago, diet and exercise for about 2 years, then 500 mg Metformin
which gradually increased. Had issues with stomach problems and was switched to Sukkarto extended release.
3 500mg at night. Everything great for about 2 years then started having issues with diarrhea etc. again.
Can you become intolerant over time. I keep a food diary to check if anything sets me off. The one
constant over the years has been visits to the Dentist. I have had some dental work done in September and so
a few visits since but always within 2 days have diarrhea. Is this a coincidence. Also have recently been given
Farxiga 10 mg a day.
Has anyone else had these issues.

I had these issues with metformin as well, diarrhoea is well known with metformin. I went on a very low carb diet ie no potatoes no rice no bread and no pasta. Watch out for carrots and parsnips as these are starchy. Within a week I was off metformin and glicazide. No meds at all now and lost 2 stone. It’s not that difficult, give it a go.
