I want to make 2017 the year I lose weight once and for all. Has anyone tried losing weight with Almased meal replacement shakes?

Butternut Squash, Cabbage and confrontation.
Over the last 53 years of my life I feel I have been on every diet possible, but I haven't heard of them I must say. But The trouble with all the fad shakes, meal replacements is there fine whilst your on them and you do loose but once you go back to eating, even a healthy diet again you simply put it all back on again and end up heavier than you are now.
Why not give the Low Carb High Fat diet ago that everyone here advocates, I was skeptical at first but its working for me and its easy to achieve. You just reduce the amount of rice, pasta, potatoes, pastry, bread etc you have in your diet, and I mean reduce, I've basically halved mine, I've not had to give them up entirely and because of that I don't feel I'm giving up all my old comforts. Then use things like butter, cream and leave the fat on your bacon if you wish. I actually don't feel I'm being deprived of anything, sugar I have to avoid anyway now diabetes has seen to that, but otherwise its relatively easy and I never thought I'd say that about any diet. I've lost 20 lbs already in around 7-8 weeks and its still going down.
So give it ago. There's lots of info on this website about it.
Why waste money on shakes?
Good luck
Maggie

Hello I have tried replacing my lunchtime meals with a replacement Almased drink and the problem was (as always) I didn't stick with it. I've also run out of Almased so will have to buy some more, it's usually around £30. I find it so hard to lose weight.

Hi Carina. That's a shame, but yes replacing Almased with your lunchtime meal is a good idea. It is high protein and calorie-controlled so will certainly help with weight loss. As always, for best results Almased should be combined with a balanced diet that is vegetable rich, high in lean protein and lower in carbohydrate.

If you do have any questions about Almased or our weight loss programmes, I will be more than happy to provide assistance.
