Hello! I have a testate kit which I got free online from diabetes.Co.uk. it was quite a bit ago now. I have lost my pricker and do not carry any others. Does anyone know where I can a quote just a pricker? Or find a pricker for my machine? It is not from the NHS so no idea how to get one without paying stupid money to get a temporary one! How can I getc one quick? At the moment I am just using the needles to try and prick my finger manually.....not at all comfortable! Thankyou x

I use an Accu Chek Mobile autolet (finger pricking device) I have some spares from meters on which the autolet has not been used. If you send me a private message with your address then I will post you one gratis. You will need to buy the lancets for it which come on a drum of 6. They are available from Boots.

They are reasonably priced at the majority of pharmacy's, the lancing device does not have to be the same as the meter manufacturers supplied one.

You could pop into your GP and see if they have any samples they could give you. They usually have some meters on hand.

They cost much less than I expected although when I lost my first one I emailed the company who sent me a replacement if memory serves as it was so long ago it was Roche
