Licklemoose, provided your medications list is still up to date, in that you only take Metformin to help with your diabetes, a cup of tea might well have been enough, just to nudge you up a bit.
As T2s, we still produce insulin, and sometimes lots of it, and our livers are also usually able to jettison a bit of stored glucose into our systems if we get a bit lower than our comfort zone, so we're very unlikely to have a medically concerning hypo.
I have lots of numbers in the 3s and the vast majority of the time I feel absolutely fine, but if I feel a bit empty, my tactic is a cup of tea. For me, that feeling is only if I am very hungry indeed, and usually my meal will be soon.
I don't take any medication.
