Low Blood Sugar at 3 am

Good morning all, I have recently purchased the Abbot Lifestyle Libre to let me check various foods and see how my sugars are doing over a longer period. I am Type 2 and diet controlled but have been feeling very listless, tired and don't feel like I'm sleeping well; hence the purchase for a trial to see how I'm doing.

I discovered that my blood sugar goes below 3.9 at around 3am and stays down until about 6 am. I get up at 7. This has me worried enough to ask if this is a common occurance from your hive mind and what can I do about it.

My sugars are in target range (between 4 and 7) 56% of the time.

Any advice is welcomed and appreciated.

Sounds pretty perfect to me and nothing to worry about.
You may also find its due to a "compression low" which has been noted when using the Libre.. if you lie on it then the reading has been seen to be artificially low.
If you are still taking metformin only as per your profile then you should be fine.

Have you tested this low with a finger prick?
I ask because the Libre is reknowned for "compression lows". This is where is provides a low reading if you apply pressure such as lying on it when asleep.
The advice (at least for people with type 1) is to set an alarm and test with a finger prick to confirm low readings at night and do not depend on the Libre to be correct.

There are a lot of threads about Libre and especially about inaccurate readings.
I highly recommend reading through these if you want to get the most out of your purchase.

Usually, not always, but usually the Libre reads lower than you are. You will need to check it at a lower number to know. If you fall lower during the day you can test it and see then or like @helensaramay says, set the alarm one night.
