Hi. I have a 6 year old granddaughter who has Type 1 Diabetes. She gets low sometimes and I give her soda which seems to work well and quickly. My son prefers to give her juice, but this seems to take longer. Any suggestions?

we all will experience different levels of absorption with each different kind of hypo treatment........

liquid in general is good.........

I wouldn't imagine two liquids having a significant difference in absorption, although soda/fizzy stuff with added sugar as opposed to maybe fruit juice, may hit quicker.....

the simple solution is to choose the one that gets to work quicker.......:)

Thank You.

As Novo says liquid glucose is by far the fastest, but if her levels aren't too low then sweets like Jelly Babies or Fruit Pastilles would do, but never give anything like this if the child is disorientated and her levels are dropping fast to the point where she is no longer in control, as this food can be a choking hazard.
