Low BS

Hi
My mum in law is 87 and in hospital, at the moment they are struggling to raise her BS even after lots of Glucose ? its about 3, she is taking Metformin tablets for her condition, does anyone have any ideas why they cant raise it.

Very worrying for you. I can't imagine what would cause this, except too much insulin.
They are not giving her insulin in error are they?
