Low Carb bread

I like bread and I have discovered LivLife bread that is only 3.5g of carbs per slice. Waitrose stock it and 'some' branches of Morrisons.

I'd like to lobby Morrison's to stock it in all their branches. If diabetes is an 'epidemic' why isn't bread like this more widely available?

Is the demand there and would YOU sign a petition to support it?

I've emailed Morrisons about stocking it, got a bog standard reply about demand. So it might be worth emailing them - more people asking they may well think again.

I'd sign it for sure-Livlife bread has enabled me to enjoy runny fried egg on toast and sandwiches again.:)

I've got to find some yet in a store close xxx

You can now buy Livlife from amazon but at £2.45 + £1.95 delivery  I won't be buying from there.

I've asked my local Morrisons to stock it a couple of times, but no joy. I'm going there later so will mention it to them again! :/

£1.99 from ocado or Waitrose - I get a big shop delivered now and then and put 2-3 loaves on and then keep them in the freezer taking a couple of slices out when I fancy some toast or a bacon Sarnie.
P.S. ocado are currently best place I've found for ground almonds ( on offer at 89p per 100g packet until 2/1/14) and coconut oil £7.99 for a 400g jar - I get some funny looks at my online orders - the last order had 24 pkts ground almonds, 3 livlife loaves, 16 pun nets of berries ( on offer at 2 pkts for £4)and a couple of jars of coconut oil alongside a variety of on offer household item and salad veg - god know what the driver thought I eat!

I went into Waitrose today to get some LivLIfe bread and found there are a lot of different ones so was not sure really what one to get so took pot luck and got the Seriously Seeded half carbs one and hoped that was right but did not know if all the LivLife bread is low carb

Check the nutrition information labels, the usually give you a net carb per slice value

Some Livlife products are low carb, some gluten free. For low carb it's the seriously seeded one you want

:joyful::joyful:...excellent! I spoke to the manager at my local Morrisons. She said she'd "look into it" and "there was no call for that particular bread", so I suggested if they marketed it properly then there would be. We await developments but not holding my breath, lol.

Well after trying the LivLife bread I am afraid I will not be having it again I thought it was really horrible even my husband could not eat it . He tried it when I gave up on it after 2 slices and he agreed it was not nice and he is a bread lover and eats seeded bread all the time..he's not diabetic.
For those of you who do like it I hope you can persuade more supermarkets to stock it for you and I have hit the.. like... button on Facebook as a member here requested who is trying to get Morrisons to stock it...

I tried this bread this week for the the first time and thought it was delicious!

It was late afternoon and I had two pieces of cheese on toast. I checked my bg every hour for 3 hours and was chuffed with the results.

The next morning I had the same cheese on toast on an empty stomach and felt hot and clammy for most of the day :(

I have liked and shared the facebook page as suggested on another thread.

I bought a loaf from Waitrose yesterday, won't be buying it again, nasty, dry and generally unpleasant. Very disappointed.

If you expect it to taste like "normal" bread then you'll be disappointed. If you see it as a vehicle to carry other taste ( eg cheese on toast, toasted bacon Sarnie) that are normally off limits then you'll be chuffed

Waitrose do their own breads called "Love life" definitely not low carb, have you mistaken that for LivLife?
