Low Carb causing constipation.. Is senna ok to take?

Hi guys, could anyone help me with this question..im suffering with a little constipation due to the low carb approach, do you know of any effects from senna with regards to raising sugar levels, as i have these at home and am hoping to take a few tonight.
 
Try getting some flax seed and chia seeds on a long term basis. Far better at relieving comstipation and hugely good omega 3 and healthy vitamins.

I have slow colonic transit that can cause horrendous constipation and hospialisation. Flax and chia seeds keeps my stomach moving wonderfully.
 
Senna is only a short term solution, you need to get plenty of fibre in your diet and drink plenty.
 
Milled Flax seed, Psyllium husk and lots of water solved it for me
 
Flaxseed should be ground flaxseed. Linwoods do a good one on line.. Forget all the ones with nuts or berries.. You need pure flaxseed.

Agree senna should only be a short term fix.
 
Nuts do it for me. Just about 30 grams of mixed nuts once or twice a day.
 
Drink water, eat with fibre, but few apricots everyday helps a lot.
 
Loads of salads and nuts and green veg, plenty of water, tea or coffee keep me regular! When I am away from home and can't eat the quantity of veg I take psyllium husk tablets 2, 3 times a day. They do the trick.
 
By having one of the Lidl high protein rolls that are packed with flaxseeds and others every day for lunch, I found that I solved the constipation issue. Prior to this I was having to use Laxido from the doctor. The rolls are a joy but if you can't get them then I would imagine any flaxseeds would help. These rolls do not spike me and it was so good to have bread again.
 
Whole flaxseeds are not meant to breakdown in digestive system and pass through whole... Is it whole flaxseed on these rolls?
 
1k of psyllium husks from Amazon lasts for ages.
 
As everyone says:

Water
Lots of good veg
Flaxseed buns and flaxseed on yog
Psyllium husks (good in a lc hot choc or coffee)
Those lidl high protein rolls are great too.
 
Had Broccoli, Brussel sprouts Cauliflower and Fish for dinner last night and and a few almond nuts through the day and can confirm i woke this morning and passed my stool easily, i was expecting it to be quite hard and dry but it was was fine. thanks for all the help guys.

Not offended. Just wasn't expecting so much personal detail. Pleased to learn that we helped to speed the transit time through the digestive tract.
