low carb hangover cures?

I overdid the red wine yesterday evening and woke up feeling very rough this morning. This isn't a regular thing for me by any means, but on the odd occasion in the past I have generally eaten toast or cereal to quell the nausea. Meat and dairy never appeals on a queasy stomach, it's carbs all the way for me.

I was determined not to fall off the wagon and made do with a couple of Nairns oatcakes and 3 chips stolen from Mr Zebra's lunch. That got me through to dinner time when I had chicken tikka and sag aloo from the curry house (I eat the sag, Mr Z has the aloo). What do other low carbers do for hangovers?

I thought a fry-up was a traditional cure, which is ideal for LC! :D

It's been a long time since I needed a hangover cure, but in the day it used to be a couple of glasses of water to combat dehydration, a Vit C tablet and a couple of paracetamol/ibuprofen for the headache. Nothing that really helped with the nausea, I'm afraid...

I've never been a fan of a fry-up unfortunately, even less so when hungover. I love bacon or sausage sandwiches on doorstop wedges of crusty white bread - not LC at all!

Hi @Alzebra - as above, I take a fizzy vitamin c tablet, milk thistle supplement, peppermint tea for the nausea & usually fancy an omelette!! HTH
