Low carb high cocoa Easter eggs

Thanks for all the input
Think the Heston egg has inspired to treat my wife and myself to something really good regardless of carbs ( she deserves it) and I'll eat it in moderation. Might get myself down to waitrose

No chocolate egg for me, our Easter tradition is home made panettone. I've just checked the recipe (makes about 10 portions) and found that it contains 5980 Calories and 722.9g Carbs - will I be brave enough to have a piece?

Probably! But having a small piece could be tough.

Just had a frank and open conversation with Mr B, prompted by his announcement that Tescos have started making cinnamon and apple hot cross buns.

I love hot cross buns.
The cranberry and orange ones last year were divine.
Mr B loves them too.
And I am now eating gluten free.

Hmmm. Tricky.

But we have hashed out a workable solution:

i) Cinnamon and apple hot cross buns are fine in the house, provided that
ii) they are eaten where I can't see them (this will be easy for him, since we often sit in different rooms, and Mr B snacks in front of the computer)
iii) hot cross bun toasting will only be done when I am out of the house
iv) adequate ventilation will be provided, after toasting, to prevent lingering toasty deliciousness filling the house on my return

I hate having to have discussions like this. I don't believe my T2 should impinge on his life, eating and enjoyment of both.
But there is just something about hot cross buns...

Now, where is my finger pricker? Just need to get his signature, in blood, on the contract...

When I was a child we always received a new purse filled with shiny new pennies in for Easter (I have no idea why) so i suggested to Mr C that he ought to revive that idea but maybe using new £20s instead of the pennies. Oddly he didn't seem enthusiastic. So it will be up to me to dye the Easter morning boiled eggs with food colouring and maybe make a few of the rum truffles I made at Christmas.

If anyone comes up with an idea for low carb hot cross buns, please do let me know. :)

I'd happily have both anytime! (Just an aside - There's another all year round sour dough Italian cake sometimes with candid fruits - Ciambellone)

My local chocolatier serves me well, nothing under 70% except the white chocs, and they are devine. At xmas they do a hollow xmas pud shape filled with choc truffles, I have no problem spending £100 a time in there. Easter they do a flat egg, ideal for putting in the post
