Agree as above HellmansI use Hellman's full fat. Check the ingredients.
Home made mayo is definitely superior, but I personally prefer lemon juice to vinegar - (and you can always add garlicYou could always try making it. It's pretty easy to do and you would be certain that it contains nothing untoward

Depends if you like "rapeseed oil" which is an interesting term...and which Hellmans is 78% composed of...
"How it’s made
Rapeseed oil is made by both small and large-scale producers and comes in two forms: artisan cold-pressed and refined. Cold-pressing simply involves using a press to squeeze the oil out of the seeds, retaining all its natural flavour, before being simply filtered and bottled. Refined oil on the other hand, is extracted from the seeds under high temperatures, before being cleaned to create a flavourless oil"
I wonder if Hellmans use the artisan cold pressed .... hmmm probably not or the refined.. more likely which is also known as canola oil in the USA
" Canola oil, or canola for short, is a vegetable oil derived from a variety of rapeseed"
"Canola oil is made at a processing facility by slightly heating and then crushing the seed.[22] Almost all commercial canola oil is then extracted using hexane solvent which is recovered at the end of processing. Finally, the canola oil is refined using water precipitation and organic acid to remove gums and free fatty acids, filtering to remove colour, and deodorising using steam distillation."
You pays yer money....
Rapeseed oil gets bad press in some quarters, but it is full of Omega 3, more than in Olive Oil.. It is the best of an otherwise bad bunch of vegetable/seed oils.
The American version (Canola) is Genetically Modified. Not so with rapeseed grown in the UK.

Allow me to clear that up for you @bulkbiker you use Rapeseed oil because it's flavourless so it will be the refined oil. True story I miss read it and thought it said Grapeseed oil so I used that and realy made no diffrence in flavour I think it's a Chef thing.I wonder if Hellmans use the artisan cold pressed .... hmmm probably not or the refined.
Sorry I couldn't find the irony emoji! There was no doubt in my mind that it was the refined oil...Allow me to clear that up for you @bulkbiker you use Rapeseed oil because it's flavourless so it will be the refined oil
Oh - yuk. Quite puts me off hellmans. So back to spraying extra virgin olive oil over my salad.Depends if you like "rapeseed oil" which is an interesting term...and which Hellmans is 78% composed of...
