Low carb / keto on Ozempic?

Has anyone here started on Ozempic while following a keto or very low-carb diet? My doctor is recommending I add Ozempic for glucose control and heart health, not so much for weight loss. My weight is not ideal, but is not a big issue. My A1C numbers seem to depend mainly on how well I keep my low carb diet, and everything I read says eating a fat oriented diet on Ozempic is not going to be easy. Anyone been down this road before? How did it go for you?

Hi - I can't answer your question directly, but there is something in the NICE guidelines to the effect that
SGLT-2 inhibitors should not be used when someone is on a vlc or keto diet - because of the risk of DKA. The guidelines are extremely risk-averse when it comes to DKA.

The guidelines go on to talk about the GLP-1 drugs (eg Ozempic) but I can't see any similar warning about vlc or keto.

Thanks KennyA. I'll give it a read.

I am on Rybelsus - the tablet form of semaglutide (Ozempic). I eat a low carb diet and eat moderate fats. The weight has dropped off, mainly due to the low carb, and the HbA1c has come down a lot, some of which is to do with the semaglutide, but mostly the low carbing and exercise.
