I have two New Year's Resolutions, the first is to be in the 'normal' weight category for my height before the end of the year and the second is to be healthier with my eating. At the moment I stick to less than 25g of carbs per day but, especially on work days, my food can be a bit predictable and less than healthy. I am soooooo bored of the same old, same old and need to shake things up a bit.

So, my cunning plan is to skip breakfast then eat my main meal of the day before I go to work (I work 3pm-10pm most days) and then, as I have to sit down to eat something at 5.30 with the residents I work with, I will just take a snack to work. I have also promised myself that I will work out a menu that gives me plenty of veggies, good and varied proteins and healthy fats then create a shopping list from that menu.

No more getting carried away in the supermarket and coming home with 'easy' stuff that isn't as good as it should be.

Anyone else got a plan or target for the New Year?

My 2016 goal is to keep up the good work and continue with LCHF and IF.

I have 18 kg to shed before I reach "normal" BMI (27 kg gone in 2015), so I hope to achieve that by the end of this year, if not earlier. A major goal is to up the intensity (and duration) of movement, as I need to lift some weights to tighten up the body and skin.

Regarding what I eat, I decided some months ago that I will choose densely nutritious foods as much as possible, of the highest quality I can afford. As I'm now not mindlessly eating all the time, I can't afford to ingest empty or third-grade calories. I need the micronutrients, as well as the macros, to nourish my mind and body.

@Larissima I like that, I think I will adopt 'eat mindfully' as my new mantra

I was doing great up to Christmas, but then all willpower went. For me it's going back to basics of LCHF and not allowing anything else to creep in!!! First I'd like to get back to the pre- Christmas weight, then this year I'd like to lose another stone and a half. Hoping this time next year I'm just talking about maintaining the weight loss...yaay!:)
