Is there a book with all the info on low carb diets that isn't wierdly american. I've read Dr Bernstein but got bogged down in the stripples and stevia references. Any starting point, menu plans would be good. Where did all you guys get all your info from?

Hi Suey and welcome to the forum.Where do we get our info from? Mostly from each other! Please have a good read round the low carb forum and you will find a lot of references to books papers etc about low carbing.Have a look in the low carb food section and also the newbies guide .

Hi Suey,

Rose Elliott has written some very good vegetarian low carb books and there is a book called The Low Carb Cookbook (£12.99 from Amazon) that has some really nice looking recipes and meal plans.

Prof. Charles Clark's 'The Diabetes Revolution' is an excellent place to start. He covers many of the important medical issues very succinctly, and there are lots of meal ideas too.
