Good afternoon,

I am fairly new to low carb and was wondering if anyone has paid for the app? I recieved an offer for a discount and would like to know other peoples thoughts on whether it is worth the money or not.

Thank you

Sam

Samarie - I have been a member of of the Low Carb Programme since it it was launched. It's quite different now to what it was like then.

There's a massive amount of content in there, from recipes, to the ability to build meal plans, to ideas for fitness, mindfulness content, and hints and tips. There has also been a lot of content developed very quickly around COVID-19.

Personally, I think there's something in there for everyone. Different people use it differently.

At the current huge discount, I'd call it a steal. The year's membership is barely more than a month, usually.

For full disclosure, I am an employee of diabetes.co.uk who also own the Low Carb Programme, so you could say I would be biased, but for foregoing in my personal opinion..

I found it no use at all as it is timed, weekly sections - you can't get at later sections and it is deadly slow.
At the start I looked at a few things and went back once I could access almost everything and was glad I had got it free. Never found anything useful there. Perhaps it is just my personality type, but I found it infuriating.

When I signed up for the Low Carb Programme (which is when it first started, years ago), it was both free, and MUCH less sophisticated and informative than it is now. Much less content. Much less info.

So I don't think it would be fair to judge the current programme on my impressions back then.
It appears that a lot of people have put a lot of effort into developing it since then.
A LOT has changed.
