Well, I hope this will bring encouragement to some, I am a type 2 diet controlled and have been for some years now. Just before discovering this forum I was weighing in at 18st 11lb (I am 5ft 9in and 54years old) and have been dieting for the past 20 years or more including the Atkins diet but listen to the bad press and stopped.
Since coming on here and following the advice given and adapting some of it to my life style and work patterns I am now weighing in today at [u]16st 6lb[/u]
which is almost the wieght I was 20+years ago. Don't feel hungry all the time still get the odd craving occassionally but manage to get past it plenty of energy for my chosen exercise I am so pleased still have a way to go but this has been really encouraging for me and I hope it will be for others.....oh and by the way my bs is now between 4.9 and 6 depending on time of day and what I have eaten
