I used to low carb and it was good. I tested occasionally and my readings were always good. I took no meds just good diet and exercise to control my T2 as I have done for the past 16 yrs.
Somehow I stopped.
It was gradual. Just a few extra carbs to begin with, then it was Christmas and holidays and a few more treats, I forgot what my normal was. Then I picked up an injury and the exercise went downhill and I got a bit depressed not being able to go for a run.

I put a few kilos on, slowly, but enough.
Then I realised I was always tired and sluggish. I got a new meter and scared myself. My readings were higher than I had seen them, especially my FBG.

I knew the answer was back to strict low carbing - 20-60g per day. And lots of testing - 6-9 times a day. This forum was really important for refocussing my diet.

So after a week back on a LCHF diet, I have dropped 2kg and my numbers have plummeted back into the well controlled zone and are continuing to come down.

Thanks everyone - just gotta get the exercise back on track now.

Welcome back to the warm embrace of LCHF, we missed you!
