I know what you mean about it being more difficult at celebration times. In the week leading up to Easter a colleague was preparing to leave, she is starting her maternity leave, we were all invited to a get together, I started to dread this but what a relief, we went for breakfast, eggs, bacon, sausage and mushrooms for me and no one suspected anything.View attachment 25971 I have found the lead up to Easter difficult at work this last week with people handing out chocolate eggs and Easter cakes, not everyone knowing I’m diabetic
However today at home with the family has been lovely. Hubby chose my Easter egg wisely, it’ll last me a while! Roast dinner was easy as I know what I can tolerate from previous testing. Then I made ‘lazy’ chocolate mousse popular on the Low Carb What have you Eaten Today thread, for pud. Tea at the ILs was cold meats, cheese and salad buffet

My partner and I are away for the Easter break and like you I received a lovely dark chocolate Lindt Easter egg, as you say it will probably last a while, thank goodness for Lindt, I am now a fan of dark, dark chocolate

Hell's teeth that looks good! I must have missed my invite to dinner at your place? Don't worry, I'm sure there must be a perfectly good explanation
Sorry I forgot there was no post on Friday so it wouldn’t have arrived in time
Aww bless you, it’s so hard to join in if you don’t know before hand what’s on the menu. Yes the breakfast party was perfect for me, I’m new to the team and didn’t want them to think I was being difficult so it worked out well.Oh a breakfast party, perfect! I turned down an invitation to a leaving do lunch the other day, it was at an independent pizza place, no online menu so didn’t want to risk it. It was on one of my days off (I work part time) so at least I didn’t have to watch them all parading out of the office at lunchtime!
