I am trying very hard to reduce my carbs. When I started a week or so ago I was easily on 200+ grams per day. Now I am just nudging either side of 100g per day. I have done this by cutting out bananas, grapes rice and pasta to name only a few (I won't mention biscuits!) Well, all right then, no biscuits either. I have reduced my morning porridge from 60g with semi, to 30g with 30g ground assorted nuts and semi. I now eat melon and grapefruit instead of banana and grapes. All this is fine, BUT today I am nearly 1000 calories down on what a man should eat. I have eaten the right amount of protein, and the fat amount is about 25g less than it should be. I feel full up on what I have eaten, all vegi meals as I am a vegi, so no meat or eggs in my diet. I also worked quite hard today with no ill effects and I am getting ready to walk to the shops for milk, about 1/2 mile in all. I don't mind some vegi cheese now and then and I wonder if I should eat more of it. I have a peanut butter sandwich for lunch, 1 slice of bread with spread and 30g of peanut butter. I could put some cheese in that. Any other suggestions? I have plenty of recipes for diabetic vegi meals, that isn't the problem, the problem is that they all think it's ok to bulk up on high carb food.

Suppose you are having 100 calories per day you have to burn 200 calories that day and have more water if possible lukewarm water with lemon and honey is best for losing weight.

You can up your cals by changing your milk to full fat adding butter to your veg and snacking on nuts and cheese .These should not affect your BGS

How do you feel and how are your bloods? Do you feel ok? Its better to be underweight really, new research now says that you can lead a longer life with a lower BMI.

monitor your weight. If it goes down more than you want it to, you really need a bit more, but very often we need much less food than the "experts" say. If you do need to eat more, up your fats mostly and a bit ofprotein.
Fats have more than double the calories per gram of carbs andproteins.
