Low carbohydrate Ketogenic diets and sports, very interesting even for the non sportive.

I watched this with great interest ,maybe others here will also.

I am a keen runner and used to pre load with carbs before running as well as jelly beans while running For the past two years I have been low carb and run without any of that rigmarole and never get a hypo as I suppose I,m running on fat Surprisingly I have done faster times in races too !!
 
It's hard to get past the carb loading advice when researching running, but as in all areas the advice seems to be shifting, I know an ultra marathon runner who has a ketogenic diet out of choice, he does not have DB. I was once running next to a lady during an event I'd not done before, at about the 9 mile mark, I said to her, please tell me we don't have to climb that hill (Everest) thank god for gels huh, was her reply :rolleyes:
