I met a man in Tescos when I was buying my double cream.

I remarked on the "Weight Watchers" offering - low fat cream! * Now there's an oxymoron.

He said he was looking for the real double cream, & was also a diabetic controlling his condition with low carb.

I add cream to my almond porridge, reduced calorie drinking chocolate, Greek yoghurt .... & enjoy.

* They were out of stock, so I could not see the composition.

I buy double cream too Ian! But I don't like Tesco!
I haven't read the ingredients in low fat cream, but I bet they're scary.

Jersey double cream is yummy ,if you take the fat out of cream how can it be cream :?: maybe its !creme!

Mmmmm ... fresh single cream in my tea! Luvvit ... luvvit ... luv IT. Never did understand why anyone would buy those pseudo-creams with an identity crisis, like Elmlee. :roll:

By comparison Elmlea
Buttermilk (85%), Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil (9%), Vegetable Oil (4%), Buttermilk Powder (0.5%), Stabilisers (E412, E410, E407), Emulsifier (E475), Colour (e160a).

It's much lower in carbs than milk, which I can't digest. It's delicious in tea and coffee and dribbled over fruit. It ensures I get a bit of fat every day so it stops my brain cells from rubbing together and going on fire.
