People that can't listen to other people's opinions.
People that can't say sorry.
I'm the diabetic T1 in our partnership. Needless to say I do test hubby...

I have never had a reading above 5.6 for him... 99% in the very low 4's.

Can really low levels be harmful? 5.6 is highest after food ever.....

Know I should probably be feeling proud of him... But his cholesterol is higher normal levels...getting checked in next couple weeks though.

Just started to add more fat into diet.

So is there too low levels for bg's?

PMSL!!!! Since adding more fat he is never above 4.8!!

As for me, My levels are superb since adding more fat.. Trouble is went to M&S today to get jeans and size 10 too big.. Never had that ever...

Just not aware in non diabetics if you can be too low with bg's, especially as my pump meter reads higher than real blood!!

Your hubby has perfectly normal bg. This how normal bg looks, good to be reminded of it now and then.

Thank you.. Being T1 30+ years I think I have now forgotten what non diabetics good readings should look like!! I was testing him after 2 hours just to see if he had reactive hypoglycaemia as he is rarely above 4.6 and 90% of time 4.3 or lower...

My meter when I tested against blood out of artery at same time.. 2.1 artery-2.1 pump meter... Thats why I worry about his readings..

The 2.1 was my artery reading when my blood pump meter showed 4.2!!
Mthats why I worry that all his readings ate going to be very low.....

OK that's better for hubby then, no hypo.
was your 2.1 was a hypo that didn't get to your finger yet, time lag and pumps need adjusting with finger or something like that?
time lag aside shouldn't your blood be the same?

No need to overdo testing. As long as he feels fine in general I suggest you accept he has normal glucose metabolism. It isn't that uncommon after all. To have readings below 5 all the time is very normal indeed.
