low on test strips!!

Hello! Really sorry to ask this question! But what on earth are we supposed to do when we are low on test strips! And its a long weekend!? I have 10 test strips left! And could of sworn I had another box but I don't! :( with it being a long weekend am so worried and scared!! This has never happened before!? Thanks!
 
There should be an out of hours pharmacy around, if you live in a town or city. Google it to find out where it is. The pharmacist should let you have a pot if they are in stock in anticipation of a prescription from your GP. Alternatively, you could try your. Nearest walk in centre if you have one ?

You have 10 strips left, that's 5 for today and 5 for tomorrow.Try to eek them out as best you can and then as Signy says, ask your pharmacist if they could give you some in lieu of your script from the gp.
 
Will try my best it's bank holiday Monday so it will be Tuesday now till I can actually get some, otherwise an out of hours. Thank you! : )
 
You can buy a cheaper test meter and strips from boots. I've done it before
 
Oh really?! I didn't know this?! I will have to have a look I have never noticed before! Am always in boots too! I have 5 test stripes left till Tuesday morning : /. Thank you!
 
Just ask at the counter for their cheapest meter and they usually come with about ten strips :)
 
If you use a fairly common meter, Boots may even sell you some strips for it, if your usual pharmacy won't advance you any.
 
Boots will normally sell contour next and accuchek strips. Contour next are usually slightly cheaper, but both are about £25 for fifty.
