I can go as low as 2.6 before meals, although at 2.6, I'm usually hungry and want my food
NOW!! I'm not regularly at 2.6, but I do go there. I do regularly see the numbers you do and feel absolutely fine. I am not at all concerned about those numbers, and provided you are not on medication which drive your bloods low
, and you feel fine, I would urge you to see it as a positive step. And, when it's before meals, you're about to eat anyway.
It's my belief many non-diabetics can go down to these numbers, but they never know, as they're not testing.
On the other point of your spikes from the heavier carbs; I'd be looking to bring those numbers down a bit unless they are your absolute peaks, shortly after eating. If they are your 2hour readings, you might want to shave something off those numbers.
Good luck with it all.
