hi,
how low?
type 1, 1.5 or 2?
what treatment?
how lower?
lol sorry for the questions, i am just trying to get a clearer picture so someone can help you out
Type 1 insulin dependant. Examples of her lows have been 3.7 treatment 3 glucose tablets and 15 mins later been 3.1 also treated treatment been 100mls of lucozade and bloods can still drop not all the time this happens but doctor at hospital hasn't heard of it before. Thanks
Depends, could be due to excercise, too much basal in the system, or too much qa given with meal, or any combo of those. Thats my top 3 for hard to treat hypos.
It happens at different times of the day and one of the Times it was while she was sat in the classroom she's on injections and it's carb counted to see if that helps and today the lantus has been reduced to see if that helps. Thank you
If it keeps happening within 2~3 hours of food, speak to dsn about reducing quick acting ratios with meals. Maybe, one set ratio for all meals at a guess, but, as you carry on may find need different ratios at different times of day.
