Hi guys

I've been feeling blue about my diabetes recently. I know know one can rescue me with it but I hope it's ok to send this message out I to the big wide world of the net and not expect any answers but comments welcome.

I love sport more than anything! When I was diagnosed I struggled to do my usual 2 hours a day and it got cut right back to 20minutes. A few years later I did manage 2 hours by being naughty but u wasn't aware I was at the time but do now I would switch off my pump. This appears to be my only solution but I now know the risks.

The last three years or so more effects have been happening to my body unexplained consequences from my diabetes of 15years now.
I find exercise so hard. I have literally done everything from pulling back insulin carbs before after and nothing works. I either end up hypo or hyper and feeling rubbish especially the next day.
My specialist has said there is no solution for me now except a continuous blood glucose monitor and tonight I posted another comment if that experience.

I just keep finding myself so unhappy as I eat/drink more calories when it's exercise day than non exercise days as I try to exercise three times a week but end up feeling very down by it.

I've got to a point where I won't stop trying but cycle is hypos hypers tiredness and in tears because all I want to do is run swim etc but I can't

Sorry all a little depressing and I'm going to try and swim tomorrow. Different times of the day don't change the result either.

I just feel stuck and alone so I'm just wanting to send a message out that it's hard

Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately I have tried the suggestions. The people have been great on here and helped so I could exercise without a hypo whilst working out but unfortunately it didn't go further but I'll try again.

Hi Tim yes I've tried 2, hours an hour and a half, o e hour and half an hour. Hour and a half seems to work the best but I'm in co stand swinging after. I've tried reducing by every number 2 hours after then increasing for 2 hours after that. It usually takes a bottle of Coke to get exercising even if I do t put insulin I. For food before. I'm a wee bit stuck

Carb before exercise only 20-50% insulin then reducing back from 40-95%. Then reducing by 60-90% for two hours then increasing by 40-70% for two hours. I've tried every combination of the above and it's not worked. It varies from hypo before I start to hypers after with sudden lows. Each time I change the % it seems to make no difference and so what it wants.

I've tried morning to evening and it's the same so no time is different.

I've tried medium gi food to give me alo get releasing time so once I'm done I can still have some release in my body. I've done drinks and snacks to which seem to send my body really nuts after exercise.

Walking is probably the one that I can control but anything more intense my body can't handle it.

The only way I use to do it that worked which was naughty of me but in fairness at the time I didn't know it caused harm was turning my pump off completely. I found this way I could do all sorts for ages. However know I g I can't do this it seems impossible without a constant monitoring of what to do. My doctor agrees and says there is nothing they can do for me
