I’m delighted to lower my HbA1C from 48 to 38 in 3 months. Started Keto on 18th September.

My triglycerides dropped from 1.7 to 1.5. Again, great.

However, my HDL has also dropped from 1.2 to 0.9. What could this have been caused by? I have been much more inactive in the last 3 months. Could it be that?

Hi @Petrus82_ - in the context of these other great numbers - 0.9 I believe is even in normal range, so I wouldn't worry. I'm not sure I buy any "explanation" for such a small change of an amount of a lipoprotein that is a key part of the inflammatory-repair cycle..

If you have only started Keto at the end of Sept, you probably need to give your body time to adjust, but I don't see anything to be concerned about.
