Q007 said:Thank you both for the posts. If I'm honest, it's all getting lost in the translation for me. How, other than statins, do I get my LDL down? I understand that it's the mix of cholesterol that important but for me my LDL is too high.
I'm taking the posts that, sterols don't really do a lot then? I understand that naturally occurring sterols in plants get killed off during food processing, I got that too. I've watched some very passionate cardiologists on VT banging the desk on statins and the facts they claim that they ain't all they're cracked up to be and, furthermore, they can add to health issues. Along with the side effects that they bring, I'd like to stay away from them. GP is quite happy to give me a script as they're a 1p a bag to buy aren't they.
Does anyone have any solid evidence for \ against on Floro Pro Activ? and, how do I get my LDL down. I need to know what to do about my LDL please.
Kind regards, Q..

I'm trying raise my own HDL, and lower the LDL.
My targets are
HDL, over 1.6, currently 1.1
LDL less than 1.6, currently 3.0
triglycerides less than 0.7, currently 1.0
So I really have to work on the LDL.
I'm on statins, I'm going to give the diet a go.
