Hi all,
Newly registered, but been lurking for around a year since diagnosis.
Quick background - I found out I had type 2 after some illness and a huge weight drop.
Been overweight my entire life, so losing weight without dieting (despite the dangers) was the best thing to happen to me! 9 stone lighter with high bloods, I'm now on pills (Metformin, 2 x 850g daily).
I haven't dramatically changed my diet, but have cut down some carbs, especially at night/
My last HBA1C test was 116. (Previous to this it was 99).
I'm going to have to go carb free in order to get this down, and I really want to take better care of this - but if I stick to it 100%, what timescale should I be looking at for reducing my daily BS reading to a safe, consistent level, and get my HBA1C to where it should be?
Thanks in advance!
