Wouldn't mind taking a picture of the eclipse if I get chance., think it'll only be a partial eclipse for many but will still make a great pic

It's sunny here just now but cloudy in the part of the sky where the sun is so it's unlikely to be able to see it, but it should get darker. I think where I am it is an 80% eclipse.
Be careful if you are taking a picture though as it is not meant to be good for your eyes.

Yep could blind you., so was planning on pointing the camera up at the sky in the right direction but not actually looking if that makes sense., it cloudy here at the min tho so not sure if will get a clear view

Hoping too, but it is cloudy here, but sun should be out this afternoon !!

It was quite sunny here and did dim for a while, but didn't see much.

Just about managed to get it in Coventry! Luckily someone brought a solar filter from his telescope in so we could all get a glimpse.

Not the best quality photo as it's from my phone, but still pretty cool!

Just got a bit dull here but stayed sunny throughout so it wasn't the cloud.

Lovely pictures above and some good ones on the BBC website.

Thick cloud cover in Hampshire, so I didn't see anything though it got a bit gloomy.

Several squirrels were dashing about like nutters in the garden for a while, but perhaps that's just Spring.

Nottingham University streamed the eclipse from their solar telescope, so I dipped into that occasionally. It seems to me that, to be sure of seeing the eclipse, you have to plan on being somewhere where you're likely to get clear skies. I see there's a total eclipse due in 2016 but it will only be visible in parts of Asia and Northern Australasia so I'm booking my tickets for Oz right now :D

Here in south Devon the cloud was just enough to filter the brightness without obscuring the sun completely so I managed to get these. Not long after the maximum it got too bright to photograph but not bright enough to use a pinhole. It didn't get as dark as I expected for 87% cover.
