went to dr this morning and she suspects I have uti so gave me Macrobid. Tried to do a driving lesson but after 90 mins I started getting pains like the kidney stone had returned.
Finished early as felt lousy.
But read online that the side effect is pain so should I be going back to dr? ive taken Painkillers but it’s now more filling and in the back and side and front.
Bit worried about taking next dose tonight if it’s side effects. It’s worse than it was before taking them for crying out loud. Also has anyone taken this before. Is it likely to be side effects or the uti and possible stone problem?

the urge to pee is worse as well.

@woollygal - if you have these concerns, please call NHS 111 for guidance.

The thing about antibiotics is it can be very unhelpful to start and stop them. It can give the bugs a chance to mutate a little to become bigger, stronger and if incredibly unlucky antibiotic resistant - although, infairness, that'd be unlikely in your case after a single dose!

Personally, I would try to press on, but I'm not feeling your pain, nor experiencing what you are, so it's an easy conclusion to reach!

At this time of the night, if you are still up and about, it's the call to NHS 111 if you intend to change from the prescribed route, I'd suggest

You're having a tough run of things at the moment.
