Malta - diabetes

Perhaps Malta gives privilege to the Commonwealth?
Nothing else comes to mind.

I will be persisting on them, nonetheless. If you are eligible and I am not, tthen there is something that needs adressing here.

Unfortunately I do not but it's extremely kind of you anyway, thank you.

I've already booked a flight back home next month and should get supplied there. Meanwhile I guess I'll just keep trying to make sense out of this. Emailed the Diabetic Association of Malta (it's the only form of contact they display on their page and they only open on wednesday mornings) yesterday and hopefully, there will be a reply with more information

So good news:

It appears that afterall I am eligible, and today in Matter Dei this issue seems to be finally settled (I will find out monday for 100% sure)
I'm afraid i was caught up in a long "chain" of misinformation, that began with several entities (of which the main one would be POYC) not informing of the simple step where I had to follow up my Yellow Card with a visit to the diabetes clinic in Matter Dei and it just cascaded from there.
So, to any diabetics out there, just take note of this and carry on :)

Hi all,

I've read some really great stuff from you all on having diabetes in Malta and getting prescriptions etc sorted. I'm moving over at the end of this month and although I have maybe 2 months supply to bring, I'm really lost with what to do to get prescriptions over there. Could you help?

Thanks
Tom

Hi, this thread is nearly 2 years old and many of the posters are no longer here. Maybe worth starting a new thread with your question :)
