Many diabetics have sleep apnoeia

This article claims that over one third of diabetics have sleep apnoeia. I have this problem, and I encourage anyone who thinks they might suffer from it to get themselves referred to a sleep clinic where they can be tested and if necessary given a CPAP type machine. Sleep apnoeia is linked to many health problems and can badly affect one's quality of life, as I know well.
 
Yes, I have sleep apnoea as well. Just thought I ought to warn everyone that it has become a notifiable illness, ie once you are diagnosed with it, if you do not continue to 'comply' with the treatment regime, you will be disqualified from driving.
Not that you should do any other than accept the CPAP treatment as beneficial, but the one-way-street aspect should be made clearer at the outset.
