McDonald's Big Breakfast - in the name of science

Haven't had one in years (literally).

But this morning I forced myself to grab a McDee's Big Brekkie as I had an unusually low fasting reading and wanted to check the effect (as I have a few odd test strips left). So:

At 1 hour I was a stonking 9.3!!

At 2 hours I was 6.5.

Make of it what you will.

Good work fella! Proper science and a tasty breakfast in one go...
I'm think that someone should nominate you for the Nobel prize!

How much obvious carb is there in one of those? It's been such a long time since I've eaten one....

On fasting I was 4.7 (unusually low for me, hence the risk taking experiment). I did have a single piece of Burgen with toasted cheese about half hour before the Big Brekkie though.

I had the whole shabang: Scramble, Sausage, hash brown, muffin (plus tea after). That seems quite heavy on the carbs, 45 grams apparently (http://nutritiondata.self.com/facts/foods-from-mcdonalds/6260/2)

Thing is, I doubt the figures would have been so low at 2 hours had I had a higher fast reading (as I normally do).
