This is a non diabetic pregnant lady question! I'm 15 weeks and still being sick not an awful lot maybe once a week but when I wake up in the morning (the day I'm going to be sick) I suffer with a terrible headache and weirdly that's the day I'm going to be sick...... Anyone else the same?

You could try keeping a dry biscuit by your bedside, rich tea or cracker. It might be your blood sugar gets low overnight. It worked for me. If it gets too annoying you could mention it at your next checkup

My sickness comes on stronger when my bg is low so the advice about a biscuit being handy when you wake up is a good idea :) X

Thank u ladies! Does this cause u to have horrendous head ache too.... I've woken up with headache again this morning and I know that means I'm going to sick later xx

Second that. I lost hypo symptoms at one stage and vomiting was the only way I knew I'd gone too low.

Hate to say this but I'm having my baby on Friday and am still sick a few times a week (doesn't mean to say you'll be the same!)

Headaches can be brought on through hormones as can the sickness so I'd say that's what's happening to you. It's not pleasant but it'll pass eventually!

You can also get headaches through dehydration which also goes hand in hand with sickness.

Remember that it's perfectly safe to take paracetamol during pregnancy and to drink plenty.

Hope you feel better soon and keep an eye on those bloods during sicky periods!

Argh @Finley02 it's an absolute nightmare at times isn't it!! I had this last week late one night I stuck at 3 forever I had biscuits, 3/4 bottle of lucozade, sweets and lowered my pump and it took hours for it to come up - I was being sick too so think obviously not keeping the hypo remedies in my body, totally wanted to cry!
Hope you're feeling ok xx

Ah man that sucks!

A good idea is to keep hypo treatments on the floor in every room in your home just in case, that's what I did and I did use a lot of it too (especially in the bathroom which is gross!)

Please don't be afraid to ask for help if you need it, I've been in hospital once or twice because of hypos and vomiting and they were really good and quick at helping me.

Fingers crossed for a better day tomorrow xxx

Thank u sweeties!

Feeling abit better today! Spoke to Dsn this morning and she has advised me drop my basal insulin by another 4 but may mean I need to up my bolus ! Can only hope and try!
