I picked up a leaflet at my local pharmacy and looked at the med ID, but then knowing what I'm like I'd lose it in a month or two. Am considering getting it tattooed, no worries of losing it then
I bought my SOS talisman from the local jeweller. They had a few in stock generally, but I had to order mine in especially as I wanted one with the Star of David on it.
Using the talisman is or other medical I'd jewellery is important as its the first thing medical personnel are trained to look for. I wear mine (have worn one for years) as I am not only type 2 but I also am very allergic to paracetamol, which in general is the first pain relief medication out there,
I also use medical ID on my phone, but as that is a convoluted way to get information I downloaded an app called emergency contact, which basically allows you create personalised screen backgrounds which you can save as your lock screen so all emergency services have to do is wake your phone up.
