Hi,

I take the usual medication including statins, perindopril, empagliflozin metformin.

Also get constipated especially in the morning.

Is thus down to medication or diet (HFLC).

Any thoughts or remedies?

Thanks

I went through a bad spell of constipation early on in low carb dieting. I still get it occasionally nearly ten months in. I now have chia or flax seeds everyday and have increased the amount I drink hugely However. I still sometimes have to reach for the Senna!

A lot of people seem to experience this problem because of the change in diet. I can only say that, in my experience, it's something which corrects itself later; but, as you say, it probably helps to drink more, ear more leafy vegetables and try flaxseed in yoghurt etc.

well thats different since metformin ive not had that problem.

Many thanks

Metformin SR backs me up solid... even have dropped down to 1tablet but can still suffer

drink lots of water or tea and it will flush itself out so as to speak.
What does your your diet consist of?
