medication and Newcastle diet

Hi, I'm currently doing the Newcastle diet, 12 days in, I've just tested myself it was 4.1 I'm on metformin and glimepiride Should I stop taking the glimepiride and keep taking the metformin ?

Consult your Dr PDQ, did you discuss the ND with them beforehand?

Thanks walnut_face, the last time I did this I mentioned it to my doctor, wasn't interested, so nowadays I don't tell them much before I do anything, I tell them after.

Keep a close eye on those BS figs. I was on metforming and gliclazide and had a hypo late one evening, the only one ever, after going down to the low 4s on testing in the afternoon. My diabetic nurse said if was consistently I testing low in the afternoon I should drop one of the 2 gliclazide pills. I would discuss this with your GP or diabetic nurse.
