Type 2 Medications to help loose weight

Diet. .. almost always the best and most effective method.
Eating the right foods not restricting them though.
Medications will always bring the risk of side effects.

What medications are there to aid weight loss?

Metformin can aid weight loss by reducing glucose production by the liver and reducing appetite.

Apart from that I wouldn't trust any pill which claims to be a slimming pill.

We just have to do the hard miles to reform the way we eat.

Hi. Yes, diet is the best medicine and that means a low-carb diet. There are weekly injections that some T2s have to help with weight and BS loss but they do have side effects.

Fitsey - It's probably wirth asking what you have tried so far, and an indication of how much weight you are hoping to lose. To be clear, I am not asking you to say 7lbs, 7kg or 7stones; that's not our business. I'm just asking if uoi're looking for "a little trim up", "a bit of weight", or "I could do with dropping a fair bit".

If it were possible, in your shoes, it might be a decent idea to try to tune your body into losing weight mode, if it can be. Some folks have hormonal issues making that hard though, but for some the method is more important than others.

Keto or a low carb diet, basically foods that have few carbohydrates. The less of those you eat, the less insulin that is released and the less fat that is stored enabling you to burn through fat stores. Assuming you are not on glucose lowering medications.
