Medtronic Guardian Connect experiences?

Hi,

Has anyone used the Guardian Connect system? I've just started using it but the alerts are so quiet that I find the system useless to warn about night time hypos.

Is this system just a cgm that is compatible with a mobile device.....?

and if so, can the mobile phone itself be used to alert you instead..?
