Hi all,
I'm now almost 2 months into my type 1 diagnosis. Think the reality is hitting me now. I am a type 1 diabetic. I can safely say I've been in denial, didn't affect me emotionally for the first 6 or so weeks, now feeling down and depressed. Struggling to cope with stress at work, went home early twice last week as didn't feel to well and couldn't cope with the pressure, thought I would start sobbing in the office!
I don't know how to move past this stage. I can't keep expecting my colleagues to understand what I'm going through, I'm not sure if it's normal to feel this down after diagnosis??

Hi and of course it's normal
You have been hit with the reality that you have a life long condition.
I'm sure in time and better understanding of your own condition you will be just fine x

Hi
Believe me its very normal how you are feeling,I went through a very anxious time in June, but got over it now. It might help to take a couple of weeks of work, its hard to work when your anxious, its overload.
It will work out just be kind to yourself.read through the posts, there is lots of help and advice.
