Meloxicam and type 2 diabetes

Hi again

Does anyone know if diabetics can take Meloxicam please ? Iv been on Meloxicam for a few years now for joint pain but recently I am suffering with swollen hands and feet.

Iv tried to find some info and their are warnings about diabetics taking it.

It's something you need to discuss with your Dr. as he may have decided that you need the Meloxicam. Sometimes a decision is based on your overall health. Many people with diabetes, who have other health problems, have to take medicines that are contra indicated.
The swelling needs attention so please go to your Dr. to see what he thinks and why. He may decided on another medication for you.

Hi thanks for reply ... I did go to my GP that's when they mentioned about the swelling .... But I have Been on it for years and only recently found about the diabetes .... And Iv seen the cautions for diabetes. I'm going to mention it again next week when I go just incase they missed that I was on it still.
