Sometimes, I find routine appointments are used by the HCP for whatever there current pet project happens to be.
When I turned 60 a nurse at my diabetic review started a memory assessment. Without asking. She was astounded that I didn’t have a single fault.
When I turned 65 and administrator ran a computerised frailty test on my medical record, and the result was that I had ‘severe frailty’. This was due to having more than two medical conditions and more than two prescribed medications. It took a while to get them to remove that category from my record. The category, deemed me to require help with all personal care, mobility, and managing my own finances. None of which is true.
Sorry for rambling on. Just wondering if you have had a ‘milestone birthday’ that has flagged up on your record that a test is due? GPs get paid for doing these ‘preventative diagnosics’.
