Hello, I am a child and adolescent mental health coach and school nurse. I am looking for a course or qualification to help me support children and teens with type 1 struggling with their mental health? Thanks

That sounds like a really important area to focus on! There are some solid courses out there—Diabetes UK and ADCES have some good ones, and even JDRF and Beyond Type 1 do webinars on this stuff. If you're up for something more general, Youth Mental Health First Aid could be useful too. Are you thinking more online or in-person?

Funnily enough, I found this site when reading about diapression. Mental health is really important, more now than ever. Lots of things on a macro and micro scale to deal with and managing mental health has a big impact on your physical health.

I'd suggest going face-to-face / in-person if you can as it's always good to build relationships IRL. :)

Hi. I’m new to the platform after hearing about it from a t teacher in my school. I’m and have been diagnosed since I was . For the past year (slightly more) I’ve been struggling with mental health to the point where I’ve been in and out of depressive relapses. Does anyone have any advice?

Hello and welcome @Hoodiegirl3
Sorry you are finding life tough. As someone with T2, I haven’t experienced the difficulties of being a teenager with the challenges of T1, but I think you may be able to find some help from our members with T 1.
There is also this dedicated site which could be useful for you.
