There's been quite a few posts on here recently which has had me thinking about whether we sometimes try and put our physical health (blood sugar's in range) above our mental health. Then I spotted this browsing this morning

I know I judge myself harshly when my hba1c goes up even when that was following a bout of covid that just left me with BGs all over the place.

I agree, sometimes we are so focused on our health, we forget the reason our health is important, is to allow us to live the best life we can.
And we definitely need to be easier on ourselves, sometimes the language i use to myself over some perceived failing, makes me blush.
I wouldn't dream of speaking to any one like that, why is it ok to treat myself worse than I would others?

I beat myself up even when the diabetic team are telling me it's ok! I can completely understand how easy it is to get obsessed about results.
