Merry Christmas @CarlyB ( and everyone else too !!):)

Christmas dinner here ( plus a starter )
but not going for it on the puddings -- I never think it is worth it

We're not having Christmas pudding as my wife doesn't like it and to be honest i find it too sweet even with my sweet tooth. Homemade apple pie for us.

Regards

First Christmas since T1 diagnosis. Going to have some of everything and enjoy being with my wife :-) merry Christmas everyone hope it all goes well.

I'm going to bolus for the naughty treats! I know Christmas dinner isn't actually that carb heavy! I'm going to try my best to relax and enjoy!

Me too, back to just basal on the 27th. Bolusing is putting weight on me. Merry Christmas everyone

Merry Christmas everyone xxxxx

I'm being fairly good - roast rib of beef (lots of) and non carby veg for dinner and a home made baked New York (lemon) cheesecake for pud AND I've made some lovely chocolate truffles (double cream, brandy or rum and G&B 85%). Plus lots and lots of Prosecco.

I think I'm lucky - I have never liked Chrimbo pud - or Christmas cake or mince pies - because they have always given me heartburn, even when I was very little.

Already started on my chocolate brazils. Now waiting for my pre Xmas glass of wine while hubby cooks Beef Chateaubriand. Bolus at the ready! Merry Christmas all. X

Merry Christmas everyone.
Sod the diabetes today and tomorrow.
I'll carb count and bolus, if I hit the target zone all well and good. If I'm high ( very likely ) then so be it.
Traditional turkey dinner and Xmas pud and maybe a mince pie along the way.

Think I overdid it yesterday - felt really ill earlier - went a bit overboard with my 'sod it' attitude - my body telling me off lol wishing all a wonderful day

Love everyone's views on it and fair play to every single one of you! I had a half sod it attitude. Ate chocolate in moderation. Higher bolus for meal and my glass of Asti. Whenever my sugars were high I tried not to beat myself up about it. Randomly had a hypo after breakfast this morning though - Merry Christmas!

LOL -- to start my day I woke up to a "Lo" reading on my libre -- so started the day with a full bottle of Lucozade :D
then bounced to a 14.1 about 2 hours later#settled down by noon and stayed flat all afternoon (4.8-6.5) with full dinner and a small bit of 2 Christmas desserts ( and a cheese board ) and a few glasses of red :) ( and a prosecco for aperitif )
I promise I was well behaved !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Merry Christmas diafriends!

So who is relaxing and going for it with food and who is going to be good?

I'm torn!

Merry Christmas @CarlyB :)

Had a lovely relaxing day with my family, over-indulged with the food but managed to keep the bg numbers down to an acceptable level (lowest 3.6/highest 8.7).

Post Christmas dinner went for a long walk with the dog which was quite invigorating and hopefully burnt off a few calories ;)
